In this workshop, Colleen Cruz will share with participants practical and often underutilized ways to support reading growth through writing reciprocity. She will begin by discussing some of the most compelling research around the ways writing can support reading. Participants will then have an opportunity to explore strategies that can be used in the classroom tomorrow - strategies that fuse writing  in order to make foundational reading skills and deep comprehension more meaningful and joyful.
