Bags of Love

When I think about going back to school I often think of new shoes, clothes, etc. I often forget how lucky I am that the necessities were always readily available to me. To many, these necessities come as more of a luxury. The mission of Operation Backpack is to fill a backpack with grade-specific school supplies to ensure ALL students are just as prepared as their classmates. This year, with the help of many supporters, 25 backpacks filled with school supplies were delivered to CASA of Middlesex County in early August. From there, CASA volunteers picked out a backpack for their “kid”. Knowing that 25 students can start off the school year feeling confident is the main reason, focus, and belief behind this cause.
